The finished download is not one AI image. It is a coordinated character system: a recognizable base design, multiple motion states, transparent edges, fixed frame dimensions, previews, and files that Codex can read.

Doing the same workflow by hand often takes one to several hours

A manual build means deciding how the character should look, prompting or drawing each motion row, correcting inconsistent frames, cleaning transparency, arranging the atlas, writing pet.json, and testing the folder in Codex. An experienced maker may move faster, while a complex source or several retries can take longer.

The image is analyzed before animation begins

The workflow identifies the main subject, silhouette, colors, clothing, and features worth preserving. This creates a visual brief for later frames instead of asking every motion to reinterpret the source from scratch.

A pet needs more than an idle pose

The kit covers nine Codex states such as idle, running, jumping, waving, waiting, working, review, and failure. Each state needs several frames that still look like the same character.

  • Outfits and colors should not drift between rows

Transparency and edges need cleanup

Generated images may include halos, stray background pixels, or soft shadows that do not belong in a sprite. The workflow prepares consistent transparent output and checks the frame boundaries before assembly.

The final step is an installable package

The frames are assembled into the required atlas, then packaged with pet.json, previews, a contact sheet, and installation notes. The goal is a folder you can use, not only an image that looks convincing once.
